I just finished playing a classical gig this past weekend which means I was able to get a dose of the repertoire that I find myself missing as well as an immediate reminder as to why I don’t do this shit all the time anymore.

I wonder if these name-droppers know how pathetic they sound. I’m sure it exists in every field but it never ceases to amuse me. :-)
I do think they exist in every field, but I wonder if there are more of them in classical music. It’s so steeped in tradition
