This feels so true - especially when the process of conception, creation, revision, and publication can be such a longer process than expected sometimes. And maybe no longer identify as much with the art as I did when I was making it. ❤️
Yes so much this. I'm putting together a collection and some of the poems are ones I wrote two years ago and I read them and think omg who is that?! But I also want to be kind to a past version of me.
